The team behind SwimComp have been involved in running competitive swimming competitions in the UK for several years. Our mission is to provide tools and resources to help make all the swimming competitions a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Competitive swimming is a resource intensive sport, requiring many facilitators to make competitions run smoothly. Organising and running these meets requires a significant amount of work, often undertaken by club volunteers. By providing a set of tools that we have proven, through years of experience, to help meets run smoothly, we hope to make everyone's life a little better.
Swimming can also be daunting for newcomers. For a parent who has not previously been involved in competitive swimming, getting up to speed and adapting to the jargon, rules, and technicalities of your child's new sport can be overwhelming. We aim to make this onboarding easier, too.
There are many other companies and providers out there offering systems to help run Swimming Clubs themselves. Our aim right now is not to compete with these companies or systems, but to supplement them. Our specific focus is on the experience of organising and taking part in competitions because we think this part of running a swimming club is underserved.
The current website is a proof of concept, with only a tiny subset of the functionality we aim to provide, and even that subset in a much reduced capacity. Our roadmap for the next 12 months is significant. To get the ball rolling, the current version of SwimComp is on an off-the-shelf platform not designed for most of the things we intend to do. We will iterate to a bespoke platform in the near future
In these nascent stages, we have launched this platform with a couple of clubs where we have connections. As we battle test functionality and make it stable, we hope to open this up to other clubs in the very near future. If you are interested, please get in touch below.
